Tai Chi and Qigong

Our Tai Chi and Qigong classes include breathing and posture, the Ba Duan Jin (a set of warm-up stretches), Qigong (”energy work/skill”) standing meditations, and various Qigong exercises to circulate and build energy, and increase flexibility and strength.

Students will learn the Tai Chi 24-step Yang short form.

Regular practice of Tai Chi and Qigong aims at good health and inner peace, restores deep natural breathing, manages stress, calms and focuses the mind, cultivates energy, improves and maintains range of motion, balance, and coordination.

No experience necessary. All levels welcome! Students under age 16 need permission from the instructor.

Classes are free to anyone with cancer past or present.

Returning students do not need to register online. Just show up to class. Payments can be made in the dojo with cash or check only.

Class Times

Due to the risk of COVID-19 transmission, all Tai Chi classes are cancelled until further notice. Current students will receive an email from Sensei Rosie as to when classes will restart. Please feel free to email us (See “Contact Us” in the menu) if you wish to be notified when classes restart.

$12 first trial class
$45 per month for classes once a week
$65 for a 5 class punch card (expires after 3 months)
Currently enrolled WKC Students receive a 50% Discount
